Serving Our Local Communities

Commitment to the betterment of our local communities is something that Crane Credit Union takes seriously. It is one of the reasons we exist, and we do our best to give back every day. Our Crane Cares initiative enables our staff to find creative ways to serve in their communities. We love to give back by  “random acts of kindness,” serving in schools, donating to animal shelters, and the list goes on! This page highlights some of the most recent ways CCU has shown our communities that Crane Cares.

2023 Crane Cares Initiatives

Owen County Fair

The Spencer branch enjoyed reaching out to their community at the Owen County Fair– and just for fun, they raffled off a Blackstone grill!

45th Annual Franklin Chamber Golf Outing

Crane employees and representatives spent a beautiful spring day supporting the Franklin Chamber of Commerce at their 45th annual golf outing. CCU was an official Beverage Sponsor for the day. We’re always happy to support this wonderful organization and fun event!

Highway Clean Up

Staff from CCU’s Corporate Headquarters spent a day in early spring cleaning up their adopted highway.

Trotter House

In May 2023, the Mt. Vernon Crane branch donated items to Trotter House of Posey County. Trotter House is a family resource center that offers specialized programs and services to assist individuals and families who find themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy or difficult situation.

Head Start

Staff from CCU’s Washington branch spent a morning in May preparing back to school packets at their local Head Start. Just one of many ways that Crane gives back to our communities. #CraneCares

Johnson County Tornado Relief

In April 2023, several tornadoes hit communities across Central Indiana leaving destruction and despair. Communities rallied together to clean up and rebuild. Pictured is CCU’s Franklin branch donating to tornado relief efforts in Johnson County as part of the Crane Cares initiative. #CraneCares

2022 in Review

Crane staff members were full of giving in 2022! From volunteering in our communities, donating money to special causes, and being there when we were needed most, we think it’s safe to say that #CraneCares.
