At Crane Credit Union, we’re serious about stopping fraud, and your account safety and security is our top priority. We will never call or text you to ask for account information, access codes, card information or online banking username/password.

If you receive a call or text message asking you for personal information, contact us immediately at 800-692-3274.

How We Protect You

We’re looking out for you 24/7. From smart security tools to real-time alerts, we’ve built in layers of protection to help keep your accounts safe and give you peace of mind while you bank.

  • Multi-Factor Authentication: Added layers of security help verify your identity.
  • Secure Messaging: Communicate safely within online banking.
  • Instant Card Lock: Lost your card? Lock it instantly through the mobile app.
  • 24/7 Fraud Alerts: When we detect suspicious activity on your debit or credit card, we will send you a real time automated fraud alert via email and text. Learn more below.

How it Works

  • Email: When suspicious activity is detected, you ‘ll receive an interactive fraud alert email from no-reply@fraud.pscu.com. The email will contain our logo and a subject line of Crane Credit Union Fraud Alert. The email will ask you to click a green button if the transaction is authorized and a red button if it is not.
  • SMS Text: Along with the email, an SMS text will also be generated. The text message is free for cardholders and will say Crane CU Fraud Alert. The text is interactive and will ask you to reply Y (yes) or N (no).
  • Digital Phone Call: If you are unable to respond to the email or text message within 30 minutes, you will receive an interactive digital phone call. If the phone call is not answered, you will receive a digital voicemail, prompting you to call back at a specific phone number.

Crane Credit Union will never initiate a phone call, email, or text message asking you for confidential information. Do not respond to any request for confidential information such as account numbers, passwords, or PIN and contact CCU immediately at 800-692-3274.

To take advantage of Automated Fraud Alerts, make sure your email and mobile number is on your CCU account. You can add it by visiting your closest Crane Credit Union location or calling us at 800-692-3274.
