Crane Credit Union’s Vice President of Information Technology Mike Wiggington received the Emerging Leadership Award at the Indiana Credit Union League’s annual convention on September 22. This award recognizes the next generation of credit union leaders in the state for their accomplishments and for their potential to be an Indiana credit union leader.

Mike has been part of the credit union industry for the last 16 years. He began working at Crane in May 2012 and was promoted to the Vice President of Information Technology position in 2016.

Some high-profile projects at Crane Credit Union that Mike has led in the past twelve months include upgrades to the credit union’s mobile app and online banking platform – including the introduction of remote deposit capture technology to Credit Union members. With Mike’s leadership, Crane Credit Union became one of the first in its market to offer biometric authentication on its mobile platform, as well.

Mike has also developed an in-house application for the Amazon Echo. With it, credit union members can obtain the latest loan rates, branch hours and locations, and find out what is new at their credit union. This is one of few such apps in place at credit unions nationwide.

Mike and his wife Renee reside in Bloomfield, Indiana with their two sons.
