A credit union serves people within its field of membership, as granted by the National Credit Union Administration. Crane Credit Union is not-for-profit and owned by its members. This allows us to offer better rates, low-to-no cost services and a stronger, more personal relationship between members and staff. We value our members and strive to provide the financial products and services they deserve.

Joining Crane requires opening a savings account with a minimum balance of $5.00. Once you become a member, you are always a member, as long as you remain in good standing and maintain an active $5.00 savings account.

There are a number of ways you can qualify for membership and join Crane including:

  1. If someone in your immediate family* is already a member of Crane Credit Union, or
  2. If you live or work on at least one of twenty-seven Indiana counties, or
  3. If you work at or belong to one of our Select Employee Groups (SEGs). Or, if someone in your immediate family works or belongs to one of our SEGS.

Immediate family is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, step-parent, step-child, step-sibling and adoptive relationships.
