I can’t join a credit union.
If you live or work in the following counties you are eligible to join Crane Credit Union: Bartholomew, Brown, Clay, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Hendricks, Jackson, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Marion (Center township, Decatur township, Franklin township, Lawrence township, Perry township, Pike township, Washington township, and Wayne township), Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Orange, Parke, Pike, Posey, Putnam, Sullivan, Vanderburgh, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warrick.

A credit union serves people within its field of membership, as granted by the National Credit Union Administration. Crane Credit Union is not-for-profit and owned by its members. This allows us to offer better rates, low-to-no cost services and a stronger, more personal relationship between members and staff. We value our members and strive to provide the financial products and services they deserve.

We’re committed to building lifelong relationships with our members and providing quality, low-cost products and services so they can achieve financial success.

Joining Crane requires opening a savings account with a minimum balance of $5.00. Once you become a member, you are always a member, as long as you remain in good standing and maintain an active $5.00 savings account.

Banks have better technology than credit unions.
Crane Credit Union has free online banking, online bill pay, and mobile apps for iPhone and Android devices.

Users can transfer money between accounts; pay bills, and apply for loans in online banking. Mobile app users can deposit a check by taking a picture with their smartphone.

Banks have more locations.
We are part of the CO-OP Shared Branching network. This allows Credit Union members to access nearly 5,000 locations nationwide in addition to Crane’s 14 branch locations in Central and Southern Indiana. Members can make deposits, withdrawals, transfers, or loan payments on their Crane account at any Shared Branching location.

Banks have more ATMs.
ATMs are available at all branch locations, next to Dairy Queen in Bloomfield, next to Town & Country Car Wash in Odon and at our Corporate Headquarters located in the WestGate at Crane Technology Park. Members can make withdrawals, deposits, transfers, loan payments and balance inquiries from equipped ATMs.

We have joined STAR and Alliance One ATM Networks to give you more options with your ATM, Debit, VISA Platinum and VISA Classic cards.

The STAR Network provides cardholders access to their money at more than 2 million retail and ATM locations across the country. The STAR Network also means that our ATMs will now accept VISA, Mastercard, Cirrus, Plus, STAR, American Express and Discover.

The Alliance One Network serves over 900 financial institutions and provides cardholders with account access at approximately 4800 ATMs. When you use an ATM that is part of Alliance One, you will not be charged a surcharge fee. Alliance One has ATMs in 42 states, Puerto Rico and District of Columbia.
