Crane Credit Union’s branch at 2102 State Street in Washington is collecting pairs of new shoes for the Bethel Back to School Mall. This effort is in memory of Lenora Whitehead, a beloved Credit Union employee who passed away in 2014. Bethel Mall is a ministry of Bethel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Whitehead volunteered with Bethel Mall for many years.
Lenora Whitehead worked as a part-time teller at the Washington Branch from 2002 until she retired in 2014. Those who knew and worked with her are well aware of the extraordinary member service she provided on a daily basis. Mrs. Whitehead always displayed a great attitude. She could be described as selfless and dependable and a woman of character and integrity. Crane honors a special employee each year with a service award in her honor.
The branch is collecting pairs of new shoes with sizes that are appropriate for children ages 6 to 18. Donations will be accepted from now until July 22nd.
