March 10, 2014 - Another Round of Fraudulent Automated Phone Calls
We have received reports that some members began receiving fraudulent, automated calls on the evening of March 9th, purporting to be from "Crane Federal Credit Union".  These automated calls stated the member's VISA card would be deactivated and prompted the member for account information to keep the card active.  These calls, most of which have originated in the NV area, are fraudulent and did not originate from the Crane Federal Credit Union.  These calls are random, targeting a specific area, and were received by both members and non-members.  In addition, we've confirmed that the names of other local financial institutions were used in this round of calls.

If you receive one of these calls, simply hangup, do not provide any personal or account information.  If you have already provided this information, please contact us at 1.800.692.3274 as soon as possible.
