Crane Credit Union has won first place in the judging of the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award in the $250 million to $1 billion asset category for Indiana credit unions. The entry has been forwarded on to the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) for recognition in its national competition.

The Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award is given to a credit union or chapter/multiple credit union group for its social responsibility projects within the community. The award is given for external activities. Credit unions can receive the award for involvement in almost any kind of activity that helps other people or strengthens the structure of a community. This may include raising funds for charity, educational activities, or community involvement projects.

The Credit Union will accept the award at this year’s Indiana Credit Union League convention in October.
